The outer ring raceway of LYC spherical roller thrust bearings is spherical form, so is the roller element, so they are
self-aligning. The angular errors within 2°3° are acceptable. They can carry large axail loads and also a certain amount of radial loads. Spherical roller thrust beairngs accommodate axial loads in a
direction and restrict from axial displacement in one direction. They can be operated in maior speed operation.

Spherical roller bearings have barrel-shaped rollers-between the inner ring, which has two raceways, and the outer ring which has one spherical
raceway. Since the center of curvature of the outer ring raceway surface coincides with the bearing axis, they are self aligning in a manner similar to that of self-aligning ball bearings. Therefore, if there is deflection of the shaft or housing or misalignment of their axis, it is automatically corrected so excessive force is
not applied to the bearings. Spherical roller bearings can take, not only heavy radial loads, but also some axial loads in either direction. They have excellent radial load carrying capacity and are
suitable for use where there are heavy or impact loads. Some bearings have tapered bores and can be mounted directly on tapered shafts or cylindrical shafts using adapters or withdrawal sleeves.
Pressed steel and machined brass cages are generally used.

In spherical bearings the rollers are guided by the raceways, the cage and a non-integral guide ring which is positioned between the two rows
of rollers. These bearings operate at lower temperatures or can accommodate heavier axial loads. To facilitate efficient lubrication, spherical roller
bearings feature an annular groove and three lubrication holes in the outer ring as standard. The spherical roller bearings are manufactured to normal tolerances and have normal internal radial
clearance. These bearings are also available with internal radial clearance C3 (greater than normal).

The outer ring raceway and the shaft center are all spherical surface. The roller are arranged into shpeical form. They are self-aligning. The contact angle is 45 degree. They can accomodat axial
loads and a certain amount of radial loads, and apply to large-scale machinical equipments used in the high speed operation. The cage are pressed steel plate model or brass turing model.

As spherial roller bearings, the raceway track of the roller thrust bearings is sphere
centering on the point which is accord with the centra shaft of bearins. The roller of the bearings like this is spherial form, so they are self-aligning and insensitive to the shaft deflection and
misalignment of the shaft relative to the housing.

Not like other thrust bearing among the samples, these bearings have very large axial carrying capacity. They can also carry a certain amount of
radial loads when carrying axial loads, but the radial loads should no more than 55% of the axial loads.

NTN spherical roll bearings have two rows of inner ring raceway. Spherical outer ring raceway and spherical rollers. They outer ring surface center is identical to the bearings
center, so they are self-aligning, that is to say, even if there are errors and deflection between the shaft and bearings housing, the bearings can be in the normal operation.

These bearings can accommodate heavy radial loads, axial loads in two directions and combined loads. They also sustain the vibration and load moment. NTN produce bearings with
cylindricla bore or tapered bore. Bearings with taper bore are marked with K on the basic model number. The normal conicity is 1/12, but the conicity of 240 and 241 series is 1/30, and their basic
modle number is suffixed with “K30″. Almost all the bearings with taper bore are fixed on the shaft by adapter sleeve or withdrawer sleeve.
